Connecting Windows 8 / 10 to the Selfnet Wireless LAN

1. Löschen der bisherigen Konfiguration

Wenn du bereits versucht hast, dich mit dem Selfnet-WLAN zu verbinden, lösche zunächst die alte Konfiguration. Falls nicht, dann gehe zu Schritt 2.

1. Delete prior configuration

If you've had the Selfnet network already set up, delete the old configuration to ensure that you're starting from a known state. Otherwise, skip to step 2.

2. Öffne das Netzwerk- und Freigabecenter

Öffne das Netzwerk- und Freigabecenter über die Systemsteuerung (nicht die Einstellungen) und klicke auf Neue Verbindung oder neues Netzwerk einrichten.

2. Open network and sharing center

Open the network and sharing center from the control panel (not the new settings App) and click on Set up a new connection or network.

3. Starte den Assistenten zum Hinzufügen der Verbindung

Klicke auf Manuell mit einem Drahtlosnetzwerk verbinden.

Click on Manually connect to a wireless network.

4. Gib den Netzwerknamen ein und wähle den Sicherheitstyp aus

Fülle die Felder, wie in dem Bild zu sehen, aus.

4. Enter network name and security type

Fill in the form as indicated on the screenshot below.

5. Verbindungseinstellungen öffnen

Klicke auf Verbindungseinstellungen ändern. Schließe das Fenster nicht.

5. Open connection settings

Click on Change conenction settings. Don't close the window.

6. Authentifizierungsmethode festlegen

In dem Tab Sicherheit, änderst du die Methode für die Netzwerkauthentifizierung auf: EAP-TTLS und bestätigst mit OK.

6. Set authentication method

In the Security tab, change the authentication method to EAP-TTLS and click OK.

7. Mit dem Netzwerk verbinden

Verbinde dich mit dem Selfnet WLAN-Netzwerk über die WLAN-Netzwerk Liste.

7. Connect to the network

Connect to the Selfnet network in the wireless network list

Select the 'Selfnet' wirless network and connect to it.

8. Benutzername und Passwort eingeben

Kurz nach dem verbinden wird ein Fenster, wie unten dargestellt erscheinen.
Dein Benutzername ist deine E-Mail Adresse, welche du auch für MySelfnet nutzt. Das Passwort ist dein MySelfnet Passwort. Stelle sicher, dass sich keine Leerzeichen vor oder nach deiner E-Mail Adresse befinden.

8. Enter user name and password

Your user name is the email address you use for signing in at MySelfnet. The password is the same you're using for MySelfnet. Make sure not to add spaces before or after your email address.

9. Neustart

Starte dein Gerät neu, damit die Einstellungen übernommen werden.

9. Reboot

Reboot your device to apply the changes
